Wrinkle Reduction
Toxin is the UK’s most popular cosmetic procedure, because it is suitable for almost everyone. If you have wrinkles, forehead lines or crow’s feet you wish to reduce, then this treatment is likely to be the perfect option. Toxin can also be used to treat a number of other concerns including reduction of a ‘gummy smile’, bunny lines, jowls, downturned corners of the mouth and a brow lift.
On the day of treatment you can carry on your day as normal, although it’s important to avoid wearing a helmet, saunas or facials for 24 hours after treatment. Side effects are rare, but occasionally clients experience bruising, which usually fades quickly. Treatment results are normally at their best after 2 weeks, and you’ll need to maintain your new look with top-up treatments every 3–4 months.
Toxin treatment is simple, quick and safe — but if you’ve never had treatment before, it’s understandable to feel a little nervous the first time. During your initial consultation you’ll be asked to complete a medical history to ensure we’re aware of any conditions which could rule out toxin treatment.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding the treatment is not recommended. A history of stroke or chronic disease affecting the muscles such as myasthenia gravis, Eaton–Lambert syndrome and Bell’s palsy would all rule out the treatment, as well as a history of allergy to the toxin.
